Our approach to product feedback

Here at Power Factors, we take product feedback extremely seriously. We believe that listening to our customers, team members, and prospects - by taking their ideas on board - is a sure-fire way to build better products.
We use your feedback to identify the most important features, ideas, pain points, and opportunities so that you can get more value from our products as efficiently as possible.


The benefits of giving us your product feedback

If you take the time to submit your product feedback to us, it means that you have a direct say in how our products develop over time. It means that your ideas are valued and listened to, rather than filed away and ignored.
Ultimately, it allows us to work with you to build the best products we possibly can.

What happens to your product feedback

Our product teams meet regularly with the CSMs, to go through new ideas. Once we have verified that an idea isn’t already available in the system, and seems like a good idea, we change the status to Accepting Votes. Then more people can vote, prioritize, and give us information. This allows us to gauge demand, gather use cases, and establish impact & value.

If we decide to implement an idea, the status will change to Planned or In Development. When it’s done, the status will change to Delivered. Anyone who has submitted or voted on a specific request will be notified when the status of the request is updated. We will always provide an explanation as to the nature of the status update.

Unfortunately, not all requests are in line with our vision and strategy, so sometimes we reject them. When this happens, the status will be changed to Archived and we’ll add a note to let you know that it won’t be delivered.


How we choose what to implement

When we plan a release, we use many factors to help decide which suggestions to implement, including:

  • Customer feedback - there are many ways we listen for your feedback:
    formal customer interviews and other research activities
    events like conferences and trade shows
    comments and votes on issues here in Greenbyte & BluePoint Influence
  • CSM team insights - our CSM team knows which issues are the most challenging and most common for customers.
  • Product analytics - we track how users move through the system, which helps us understand how existing features are being used.
  • Product strategy - our long-term strategic vision for the products.
If you reach out directly to our support or customer success teams, they'll be able to look up the ideas for you, but they won't have any additional information or provide an estimate for when your item will be reviewed.


Custom applications

Sometimes you need functionality that is specific to your needs and not necessarily useful for other customers or in line with Power Factors strategic goals. These special requests are addressed through custom applications, which can be developed by you, using the Greenbyte API, by third-party partners, or by Power Factors for an additional fee. If you are interested in having a custom application built, contact your CSM.

  1. Create task in the status log with mass edit.

    Many times you have multiple event stops that you want to set in a task.
    Now you have to create a task and set the events one by one in a task.
    It would be nice that you can select multiple status events (as you do with mass comments or allocation) and add all the events to one task.
    This to make a clear view for the customer.

  2. WTSR safety risk due to the fact that it is possible to log the same person on multiple site accesses at the same time.

    WTSR safety risk due to the fact that it is possible to log the same person on multiple site accesses at the same time. This can couse severe confusion and potentially cost lifes when accidents or emergencies happen on site and the location and workgroup relation is unclear.

    The system should restrict the possibility to do site access logs unique for a each person.

  3. Order Personnel List in 'Edit Site Access' Window Alphabetically

    The personnel list in the 'Edit Site Access' window should be ordered alphabetically. Currently, it can be very difficult and unnecessarily time consuming to find an specific individual and book them off site especially when there are a large number of people booked on.
    It does not appear to be organised in any helpful way at present.

  4. Plan - Gantt Chart

    We need the Gantt Chart function for displaying tasks to be re-engineered and exportable in reports.

  5. Add a field to HSE Observations to show a date of when they have been resolved.

    HSE observations show a date that they were created but they do not show a date when the slider is set to resolved. Please add this feature as it is necessary for auditing to know when the observation was resolved.

  6. Turn site access pin red in ROC when overdue

    When a site access is overdue > show it in the remote operation center dashboard/ on the site access list (make it red)

  7. Plan | Task | Mail to the Assignee when the task is created

    When somebody is creating a task for anthoer user - it would be nice to inform the other user that there is a new task on his stack. Example: ohn Doe creates a task for Max Mustermann. The task is about control a specific process. Than John have to write a E-Mail with the link to the task and because it's not nice to send an email with only a link in it (spam filter) John writes a email with a subject and have to type an emil conform description… So it would be nice when the system send this…

    Great news! This is available in Greenbyte. You can define default task notifications that email the assignee upon task creation.

  8. If tasks is linked to single turbine/device make device name make hyperlink to monitoring page

    If a taks is linked to a single device/wind turbine - there should be a link to the monitoring page of that device - similar to the hyperlinks in active status event widget. This way it becomes possible to go to a device direcly from the task widget. In the current design you have to check the name of the device in the task widget - search for the device name in the sidebar - then using 3dot menu go to monitoring page of the device - this is a very time consuming process.

  9. Log site access: Search personnel by phone number

    When you log the site access you sometimes have only the phone number and not the name.

  10. Site Access: Personnel number reduces when someone is logged off

    As it is currently when a working party of for example 5 technicians book onto site - the personnel box will rightly show 5. If any of that working party book off the personnel number remains at 5. It would be very helpful if someone leaves a working party that the personnel number shows this.

  11. Tasks: Ability to change the date/time a task was Resolved

    it should be able to change the date/time a task was resolved. In that way - the reporting of finished tasks can be done better and according reality.

  12. Resolve Task Option under Device Access

    Tasks are usually complete when departing a turbine. It would be helpful to have a 'Resolve Task' option under Device Access and not just Site Access.

  13. Tasks: change default end time from 3 months to 1 day

    Currently it is quite hard to find the correct task in the task list (plan -> tasks) due to the 3 months duration of each task.

    This has now been released so you should see the new 1-day default.

  14. Tasks: If a task is resolved - set the end time of the task equal to the time it is resolved.

    Typically - if a task is resolved it is also ended - so the end time can be set automatically.
