Our approach to product feedback

Here at Power Factors, we take product feedback extremely seriously. We believe that listening to our customers, team members, and prospects - by taking their ideas on board - is a sure-fire way to build better products.
We use your feedback to identify the most important features, ideas, pain points, and opportunities so that you can get more value from our products as efficiently as possible.

The benefits of giving us your product feedback

If you take the time to submit your product feedback to us, it means that you have a direct say in how our products develop over time. It means that your ideas are valued and listened to, rather than filed away and ignored.
Ultimately, it allows us to work with you to build the best products we possibly can.

What happens to your product feedback

Our product teams meet regularly with the CSMs, to go through new ideas. Once we have verified that an idea isn’t already available in the system, and seems like a good idea, we change the status to Accepting Votes. Then more people can vote, prioritize, and give us information. This allows us to gauge demand, gather use cases, and establish impact & value.

If we decide to implement an idea, the status will change to Planned or In Development. When it’s done, the status will change to Delivered. Anyone who has submitted or voted on a specific request will be notified when the status of the request is updated. We will always provide an explanation as to the nature of the status update.

Unfortunately, not all requests are in line with our vision and strategy, so sometimes we reject them. When this happens, the status will be changed to Archived and we’ll add a note to let you know that it won’t be delivered.

How we choose what to implement

When we plan a release, we use many factors to help decide which suggestions to implement, including:

  • Customer feedback - there are many ways we listen for your feedback:
formal customer interviews and other research activities
events like conferences and trade shows
comments and votes on issues here in Greenbyte & BluePoint Influence
  • CSM team insights - our CSM team knows which issues are the most challenging and most common for customers.
  • Product analytics - we track how users move through the system, which helps us understand how existing features are being used.
  • Product strategy - our long-term strategic vision for the products.
If you reach out directly to our support or customer success teams, they'll be able to look up the ideas for you, but they won't have any additional information or provide an estimate for when your item will be reviewed.

Custom applications

Sometimes you need functionality that is specific to your needs and not necessarily useful for other customers or in line with Power Factors strategic goals. These special requests are addressed through custom applications, which can be developed by you, using the Greenbyte API, by third-party partners, or by Power Factors for an additional fee. If you are interested in having a custom application built, contact your CSM.

  1. Legend editing

In the Portfolio view, it could be useful to be able to edit the legend, especially to personalize the variables names.

  2. I can't see X axis values

If I create a chart (sum over time as type), in the Portfolio Dashboard, using as time span "This month", I can't see the values on the X axis if I set as date format just the number of the day. This happens when I set the values resolution smaller than 1-day.

  4. REMIT compliant view in Breeze

We would need to prevent access to certain kind of information for some of our Breeze users, and wish that we could be able customize their view to be REMIT compliant. This could mean for example removing the possibility to view the current, near past (~1 hour) and future output of the power plant, while allowing access to wind and temperature data.

Thanks for your input. The overview dashboards are meant to give a brief look at the most important KPIs but without the noise of detailed information. For having an overview with status events added you can create a custom dashboard under Monitor>Portfolio or Monitor > Wind Farm.

  6. Drop menu out of the screen

In some sections, the drop menu expands out of the screen.

For instance, in the "status categorization" section, if we select a given period and want to edit the contract category of the first day of this period (so the last line on the screen), only the top part of the drop menu will be displayed but not the categories that are at the end of the list. Because they expand beyond the computer screen.

To avoid that issue, a solution is to select a wider period so that the line we want to edit is no longer the last…

In some sections, the drop menus expand beyond the computer screen.

For instance, in the status categorization section, if we choose a given period and we want to edit the contract category of the first day of this period (so the bottom line on screen), only the top part of the drop menu will be displayed. And any category that is at the end of the list would be impossible to be selected, because it is out of screen.

A way to avoid that problem is to select a wider period of time so that the line we want to…

  9. Hei

    Hi

It would be very good if there would be bar for notes as alarms etc. There you could mark e.q. if some turbines has de-rate status but it is in production. Sometimes it is difficult see if there is de-rate on (if wind isn`t so high).

It would be also good if some turbines has de-rate, it would possible see from status log: E.q.De-rate status is setted to X.XXX MW.

  10. Provide ability to acknowledge stops/warnings on ROC screen.

Currently a user sees a stop on the ROC screen and has to jump over to Monitor to acknowledge it.

  11. ROC : Change color for 'Site Access' from blue to red when overdue

You should be able to see overdue site accesses in the ROC by change of color from blue to red in the ROC as it is done in the sidebar.

including overdue minutes would be even more fantastic

  13. ROC CONFIRM NEWLY STOPPED TURBINES

ROC - When a turbine stops - the turbine line blinks red for a few seconds - then it goes back to black - after this the stop is marked with a red dot. I think you should manually confirm the red-blinking line - It's very easy to miss recently topped turbines!
