Our approach to product feedback

Here at Power Factors, we take product feedback extremely seriously. We believe that listening to our customers, team members, and prospects - by taking their ideas on board - is a sure-fire way to build better products.
We use your feedback to identify the most important features, ideas, pain points, and opportunities so that you can get more value from our products as efficiently as possible.


The benefits of giving us your product feedback

If you take the time to submit your product feedback to us, it means that you have a direct say in how our products develop over time. It means that your ideas are valued and listened to, rather than filed away and ignored.
Ultimately, it allows us to work with you to build the best products we possibly can.

What happens to your product feedback

Our product teams meet regularly with the CSMs, to go through new ideas. Once we have verified that an idea isn’t already available in the system, and seems like a good idea, we change the status to Accepting Votes. Then more people can vote, prioritize, and give us information. This allows us to gauge demand, gather use cases, and establish impact & value.

If we decide to implement an idea, the status will change to Planned or In Development. When it’s done, the status will change to Delivered. Anyone who has submitted or voted on a specific request will be notified when the status of the request is updated. We will always provide an explanation as to the nature of the status update.

Unfortunately, not all requests are in line with our vision and strategy, so sometimes we reject them. When this happens, the status will be changed to Archived and we’ll add a note to let you know that it won’t be delivered.


How we choose what to implement

When we plan a release, we use many factors to help decide which suggestions to implement, including:

  • Customer feedback - there are many ways we listen for your feedback:
    formal customer interviews and other research activities
    events like conferences and trade shows
    comments and votes on issues here in Greenbyte & BluePoint Influence
  • CSM team insights - our CSM team knows which issues are the most challenging and most common for customers.
  • Product analytics - we track how users move through the system, which helps us understand how existing features are being used.
  • Product strategy - our long-term strategic vision for the products.
If you reach out directly to our support or customer success teams, they'll be able to look up the ideas for you, but they won't have any additional information or provide an estimate for when your item will be reviewed.


Custom applications

Sometimes you need functionality that is specific to your needs and not necessarily useful for other customers or in line with Power Factors strategic goals. These special requests are addressed through custom applications, which can be developed by you, using the Greenbyte API, by third-party partners, or by Power Factors for an additional fee. If you are interested in having a custom application built, contact your CSM.

  1. HSE ORs difficult to see during log site access

    Moving the HSE box to the top of the log site access popup to improve visibility of ORs.

  2. Site/ Turbine Access - Operational Restriction (NO Access)

    Often, Operational Restrictions (ORs) are in place for sites and/ or turbines. Tehy have different severities. Sometimes, there is a complete "no access" due to safety risks in place. Unfortunately, currently such an "hard OR" cannot be visually distinguished from the other, "lighter" HSE or OR information during the log on procedure.

    Suggestion: Own (severe) category and calour (red) for ORs, which deny complete access to a site or turbine due to high safety risk. In addition,such ORs should always be on top of the HSE list during log on!

  3. Change overdue icon colour and make it flash so its not mistaken for an active stop fault

    Could you change the overdue icon colour to Yellow or Orange and make it flash if possible.
    Currently overdues are show in red and this can be mistaken as a stop fault when carrying out our duties.
    If this could be changed to a different colour and made to flash then it would make it easier to notice and less likely to be missed.
    Ive attached a screenshot of what an overdue red icon for reference.

  4. Personnel Qualification

    Please could you add a, "Limited AT" category, as a few OEMs have these now. Especially Vestas.

  5. over due site/device access notification

    I think a feature that notifies us either audibly or via pop up box to site accesses that have gone overdue would be very useful so as to keep visitors as safe as possible while visiting our sites. it means we can then react quicker to over due situations and start the escalation process to reaching them to check on there welfare much quicker . Taking into account that a lot of the sites are in remote locations and so response times to possible accidents or injuries needs to be as quick as possible.

  6. Make it possible to indicate a Task or HSE Event in the Plan section is "IN PROGRESS"

    Currently, tasks and HSE events in Greenbyte can only be designated as "Unresolved" or "Resolved". Being able to indicate that a task is in progress would make it possible to monitor how quickly action is being taken and ultimately closed out.

  7. Issue: "General site" pre-selected when creating task during log on process

    When creating a new task during the log on process "General Site" is (hiddenly) pre-selected and not the specific turbine(s) directly. That should be changed.

  8. Trainee Personnel qualification

    Is it possible to add a "Trainee" section under personnel qualifications? There are many technicians who do not have any qualifications yet and it would be advantageous for OCC etc... to be confident on the status of the technician and know to not allow them to take control of a turbine and that only site access is allowed.

  9. Need a new qualification added on Breeze

    Is it possible to add ‘Competent Person (CP)’ in the dropdown box on Breeze when adding in a qualification after completion of a site induction.

    A CP has more limitations on the tasks they can carry out on the HV/LV system than AP and SAP. A CP id not the same as a CT.

  10. Hide "Devices (opt)" during site access at sites with selected WTSR rules

    For sites with selected WTSR rules, the option to choose a device during site access should be hidden. Selecting a device should only be possible at the next step by choosing qualified personell.

    Hello, Is it possible to add more qualifications under personell?
    If i would like to see following:
    GWO
    Medical
    Hotwork permit

    Also if possible to add a date for:

    Issued date:
    Expire date:

  13. Add Show/Hide Toggle to HSE Observations

    Add a 'show/hide' toggle to the 'Add Incident' window in the Plan - HSE section. This would make visible or hide the particular incident in the Site/Device access windows.
    The reason this is necessary is the Site/Device access windows do not display large volumes of HSE observations very well. The option to hide non critical observations will assist Operational Controllers to relay critical HSE observations to technicians, without having to scroll through an excessively long list. The toggle should default to visible, which will maintain the current functionality for other users.

  14. HSE: Add HSE incidents / warnings for all turbines of the same type

    We use the HSE feature mainly to notify the on-site technicians about HSE warnings by the OEMs. These are valid for all turbines of the same type (e.g. Vestas V-112, Enercon E-82 etc), so it would be very helpful to bulk-create and bulk-resolve such warnings for all affected turbine types (side note: as HSE warnings might be country specific, the option of selecting the assets/countries should still exist).

  15. Informational pop up when hovering over site access

    Introduce and info icon for site access records. When hovering over the site access info icon all available info for the record such as device access/tasks/personnel will be displayed without having to enter the individual record for further info

  16. Plan - Site Access - Customizable dashboard

    Hi, it would be very useful to have in "Site Access" a customizable dashboard that would allow the users to add (or remove) any column that they would find relevant (irrelevant). For instance, to be able to add in the main table, a column with the comments related to the site intervention (so that by just one look on the table, we can have an overview of what's happening on several power plants).

  17. Site activity: show primary comment when hovering over a specific site access

    At the moment, when you over the personel, you see a pop-up appearing with the names of all registered persons on that windturbine. It would safe us a lot of time if you can also see the reason of the activity (primary comment) when you hover over the site access

  18. Show more than 20 site access logs on screen

    Less than half the screen is used on the site access page, so it would make sense to utilise the wasted space and reduce the number of pages people have to click through. The side bar is useful, however viewing a site access via this changes the filters on the main page which negates any actual benefit.

  19. status categorization direct form the task> view page

    It would be nice if the status could be categorized from the task > view page.
    For now you create a task, add some status codes and than you have to go back to the status categorization, search for the status and than categorize it.
    that seems to me a unnecessary long way to do it.

  20. Delete specific user from site access

    When editing an open site access log, make it possible to delete a specific user log from the site access - At the moment when adding people to an open site access log, if you select the wrong person by mistake it is not possible to amend that log. Instead we currently have to set the log off time to the same as the log on time - It would be a lot more useful to be able to delete the incorrect persons details so that they do not show at all.
